I see why a lot of CG animators hate hair and fur. It's quite the pain in the ass. +10,000% respect to whoever worked on that for the Sonic movies. Anyway, Game Grumps fans will of course recognize Sonic The Hedgehog's BEST FRIEND IN THE WORLD, Plurmp The Cat.

They did a bit with Ben Schwartz about trying to get their Sonic Forces OC into the next movie, and it made me want to try making a movie-style model. I kinda wanted to try animating that bit with it, but just rendering some of the closeup stills overheated my CPU and crashed Blender. So unfortunately I don't think that's going to happen unless I can figure out how to improve the efficiency of the fur rendering.
